CAN FITNESS COACHING REPLACE PERSONAL TRAINING?
Some people think of health coaching as a replacement for fitness classes & personal training. In my opinion, it isn’t. They’re two different things, while one thing can be a part of the other. In this case, fitness training is a part of the health coaching process, and we attempt to use it to its fullest potential advantage. With unlimited semi-private sessions being available to all transformation series clients, they can get the experience of the studio training community while also getting all the extra things that can help better ensure successful goal achievement. The supplementary support is communicated via training application, and is always accessible via mobile phone—so you never have to stop taking steps towards or lose momentum in pursuit of your fitness and wellness goals.

In addition to membership at our downtown Nashville gym & fitness studio, clients receive access to customized health & fitness coaching. Personalized coaching is critical to ensure you achieve your health goals – and is one of our three core personal training services in Nashville.
CUSTOM WORKOUT PROGRAMMING
Weekly movement/exercise prescription and personal workout programming, regardless of studio sessions attended (or not).
Nutritional Consulting is offered by referral to my very own Ayurveda consultant, Liz Workman Mead (see her info here). Ayurveda is an ancient traditional system of natural medicine that considers each person’s unique constitution and how it can inform/affect food choices and their effects on the body and the mind. . .and on life in general. We combine this knowledge with basic nutrition principles to formulate a plan for your overall daily nutrition as they relate with your bottom line fitness goals. . .and also help illuminate the picture in regard to your life choices outside the gym and how they can impact you in the years to come.
ACCOUNTABILITY FOR YOUR FITNESS GOALS
Weekly check-ins are the added bit of accountability that can put you over the top in regard to your fitness pursuits. Some clients can take a training and nutrition plan at face value and put it into action with diligence and consistency; some cannot. This offering is mandatory with my health coaching, and whether or not you believe you need them, you will be required to schedule them regularly (usually weekly). The “call” can be a simple text to say, “I’m enjoying the homework workouts”, or “Last week I struggled with the food journaling, but doing better the last couple of days”. . .or it can be a Skype pep talk to get you refocused on the task at hand. I won’t judge you, and the time is yours to use as we determine you need. But this 10 minute call is meant to be another tool to help you accomplish all we set out to do.
